That Gut Feeling....

Russ and I have been renting for the last almost 2 years. We have been titled gypsies due to our love for change in housing.(we move every year) Russ and I both share the same hope for one day owning a old farm house on land with a big barn. Ironically when we weren't looking at all a rental came up on Craigslist and we couldn't help but get all tickled to drive by and see. Passing the house 2 times because of the location we eventually stumbled upon a large aluminum mailbox, the kind straight out of Funny Farm the movie. Turning at that mailbox led you down a really rutted/rough terrained road.(UPS would not deliver there) About a mile off the street sat 3 houses. 1 of which was the rental. It was 90% of what Russ and I desire. It had 3bedrooms 2 baths a HUGE red barn, 2 car garage, enormous screen/glassed in porch and it sat on 2 acres alone. Heaven right? Well then why was my gut telling me differently? All night, I had doubts, the what ifs and I tossed and turned in my semi-sleep. I thought am I really that scared of change? When I woke I thought OK maybe(?) I had made a decision and in all reality as I filled out the application(because by the way the landlord loved us) I go hot, and sick in the tummy(about noon today). I called Russ ...again I am certain he could hear my doubts in my voice. He told me to do whatever I felt like and to listen, kind of like he knows my instincts all to well (wink, wink) I told him that I think we should stay where we are at. We have been there 2 years May 2010 and nothing is wrong with that house. Our landlord is flaky but genuine. Our rent is good for the room we have in Shawnee, KS. I don't want to by a Gypsy anymore. So for now....:) We stay on Niemen. Where we have been since Russ and I have lived together (6years). Yes we have never lived off of Niemen. We have lived at 52nd, 71st place, 71st street and now 61st place. Its just our thing don't hate or discriminate. :)
