The Daughter I Never Had....

Where do I even start with this lady?! We planned about a month ago for her to come up from Texas and visit. Ideally we wanted her to stay all summer but this girl has too much on her plate still in Texas. With school, two jobs and family she is kind of strapped down...for now :) I wasn't able to take off the entire duration of her stay but we did have Thursday through Sunday together and boy did we max it out! I really discovered I am soooo not 19 years old. Darnit!!
Things that we did while she visited:
Thursday: We Starbucks-ed, we shopped, we had mud massages, we napped
Friday: We Starbucks-ed, we shopped some more, we dined at the Dearing's
Saturday: We celebrated Father's Day at my Mom and Dads house and then Haylee went on a date with the neighbor boy (booyaa)
Sunday: We headed to Sarah and Renee's pool for some volleyball and sun :)
Monday: I had to head back to work.
Tuesday: she shopped with Uncle Bubba after he got home from work.
Wednesday: was going home day but not before she and Candie headed to the west bottoms for a photo shoot. The pics are gorgeous by the way. I got off work early and Candie, Haylee and I made a girls trip to the Planeport to send her off. YES, there were tears. I am gonna miss her but I sense a return trip very soon.
Love you Swarley!

Candie happen to catch this picture of Russ and I being our goofy selves. This is us. This is what we have and its freakin perfect. Define perfect??? Ups and Downs, More good times then bad, passion, tons of laughter, trust, finishing sentences and knowing thoughts. He loves me and I love and adore him right back.

Parkville, MO 2011

Parkville is predicted to be under water come next weekend. The town is calling for 27 feet of water. I vividly recall my Mom taking us kids to see the flood back in 1993 when the town was under water then. Parkville is a really neat antique type town. I also took video of the current and how strong and fast the water was moving! Unreal! Prayers to the town and it's former survivors.

Swimming and Loving It

Today we went to Aunt Laurie's pool. Just me and Dalton then of course we were joined by Aunt Laurie, cousin Lexi, cousin Sarah(Sarah's baby in womb) and Aunt Kathy. It was a great time!! At first Dalton was very hesitant about the life jacket! He didnt understand the float concept. Boy did he figure it out though and once he did he was a FISH! He was so proud of himself!! He kept saying "I'm doing it Mommy, I'm really doing it" He would just walk the wall and then eventually he was in the middle of the pool with the bigger kids. I was just giddy inside. Granted he is in a life jacket but last year we attempted this it was just awful! He really missed having Daddy there to see it but there will definitely be more times. We swam for about 3.5 hours straight with a minor snack break and anther application of 50SPF sunscreen. I know the poor fella is worn out.. At 7pm he got a quick shower, some Motrin and is out like a light in his bed. Dalton Lee, Mommy is super proud of you!!! Until next weekend....

Happy Birthday

Today Russ turns 34 years old (he also shares his birthday with his Mom). We didn't do much considering we just celebrated being married 5 years on June 2nd and Father's Day is around the corner. Friday night my parents kept Dalton so Russ and I could enjoy a much needed date night. We went to Red Lobster for dinner then walked and shopped The Legends. Not too late though, we were home by 10pm. :) Time just flies by lately and it doesnt seem to be slowing down anytime soon! So we live each day to its fullest...whether that means doing laundry, taking naps or adventuring outside the house with family, friends or just us. Russell Wood knows how much I love him every minute of everyday. To the moon sugar.
