Yes my TEN year reunion was this past Saturday. I'd like to state the fact first: We have FACEBOOK now so that kind of rules out the whole "I wonder what he/she looks like now?" question. Heck we even know what their children, dogs, parents and neighbor's look like. So really it was all about the hugs and hearing the laughs of those whom you had not HEARD in ten years. I was excited to say the least. I am a mom, a mom that doesn't really choose to "doll up" or wear a dress for goodness sake so this was a big to do. My single bar hop on a weekly basis friends thought I was quite funny :) So since I had no one to capture my moment...I went and did what I always do and that was take pictures of myself. I was sad to look back on the nightly photos and not see one picture of me in my dress from curls to heels. :(
This was the note that I really didn't have to write to Russ, but felt better doing so. See he took Dalton to the ball fields that night, so that I could really talk to everyone at my party. So the notes is giving directions on Dalton nighttime routine...the only real routine my child has :)

Pictured below is my friend Cindy Lu...we go all the way back to kindergarten...she has twin boys. Cindy and I had some crazy times, we shall leave it at that. We totally look innocent...right?
These are the Lindsey's. To think my dad wanted to name me Lindsey...I had one more friend Lindsey as well but she couldn't make it back for the reunion :(
This is "Stoner" Melissa Stone and her hubby Mike. PS: He is a phenomenal break dancer. Would you believe that? Well you should! Melissa asked if we could get the kiddos together soon for a play date and before she finished I shouted NO! Hello my kid is rotten, ornery and who in the heck knows what he might say next. Melissa is very...good! We will leave it at that.
Ahhhhh...me and Alison Reed! The horrible influence in my life, one of my best friends through high school and beyond, the pastry chef from Washington DC, the single subway lady. I live through her stories. She is my single bar hop friend!
Emily and Michael...high school sweethearts who are expecting their first child. Remember guys, Tracy is a good name. Just sayin :)
TROUBLE..Ben Mantooth, Me, and Michael Dalbom.
Joe D...enough said

Me, Amy, and Jen
Good ole Ryan Bowling...yes I am aware I appear to have drool or spillage on my dress and that my dress is all bunched up under the belt. I was four drinks in, give me a break. However, Ryan is freakin tall. Hello! My mom always loved him and he loved him some Debbie Underwood too.
Single Subway Lady..
Lu
Where do I even start with this guy? How long have we known each other? 24 Years! Have we ever missed each other bday whether it be a phone call or an email? No! Did I totally have a crush on him in elementary? For sure! Is he EVER gonna get married? Hell no! This is Ben, Ben Mantooth. #1 reason we didn't get married besides we aren't IN LOVE is the fact that his last name is Mantooth, just could go from Underwood to Mantooth without feeling like some sort of Stoneage chick :) Ben is probably my closest guy friend. He has seen me at my worst and has known me at my best. Oh..and yes he is that tall as well. I am not sitting down. In the picture above with him, he is actually standing down off a curb.
She said, "I love you to the moon." He said, "I love you to the sun, because it's hotter." (she laughed) Together, they are living happily ever after.

A Little Distant?
Lately, I have remained private with some life obstacles/struggles etc. and I still choose to do so. So if I have seemed distant its because I am. Now don't go assuming anything! I am still madly in love with Russ and my children. I just have a lot going on inside my head and heart lately. I stay awake long after everyone is in bed asleep in hopes that the numbers on my lottery ticket match the ones running across the screen on my TV. I just HoPe that things are not too far out of reach for Russ, the boys and I.I copied this picture from a website. It looks similar to a Corona commercial don't ya think? Well, I like it because it has TWO chairs, So I assume I am not alone in anything and that everyone has been in my "chair" before. It also has a horizon that is so far out there..possibly meaning that whats ahead is never really known. Last but not least I chose this picture because if and when I my numbers match the TV numbers...I am going to the freakin beach. :)

Stop..but Dont
This post will be short and as sweet as I can make it!
1. Being a Mom is the hardest job ever. Entirely too demanding of just one person
I will start with this:
Dalton you exhaust the crap out of Mommy most nights!
Its bedtime, you have been in there almost 40 minutes, just stop it already!
Give in!
Stop fighting your eyes little buddy.
Stop playing trucks and making all sorts of motorcycle sounds.
Stop asking for a drink of water **every** stinking night you know darn well you got one BEFORE bed along with your vitamin so the water isn't coming. End of Story!
Stop hollering my name from your bed. I am busy watching my DVR shows...I am busy little man! Busy enjoying whats supposed to be peace and quiet!
****with all of that said, as I am fuming****
Dalton,
Don't stop getting up at the wee hours of the morning and coming into my room, plopping your head down on my butt and telling me your just gonna turn on the TV for a minute :)
Don't stop saying "I think your pretty Mommy"
Don't stop saying your quirky little attitude things like (while shaking your head) "I have no idea what I am talking about" when Daddy or I ask you "what are you talking about?"
Don't stop being Daddy's pride and joy when it comes to sports.
Most of all Dalton DON'T EVER FORGET that in all of the times that Mommy has had it, wants to fly the coop, jump the next train, vanish...don't forget that I love you and would never leave you little buddy...
But dammit Dalton GO TO BED ALREADY......Jeez!

Date Night...or Bust
If anyone knows me well, you would know that I don't typically drink but WOW I needed these guys. My mom came over Friday night and allowed Russ and I a very badly much needed date night with out the kid. Being the non-party peeps we had no clue where we were gonna go. We first ventured to our favorite restaurant Cheddars however they had a 40 minute wait...um no! so we went to Outback steakhouse and about 20 minutes into our dinner the restaurant started flooding. I am not kidding I was thinking in no time we would be re-enacting Titanic...minus the ship and iceberg!
However, look at me I was glowing. I was so excited to be eating a steak and drinking a yummy beverage without a toddler! :)
Love him...
We then headed to Starbucks and both had a small coffee, people watched and headed home in the pouring down rain. Thank you mom!

Yep, this morning we loaded the troop and headed to the Midwest Kid Fest at the trade center. Five dollars got you into a load of vendors that cost way more. However we dug for the FREE and FUN. The kiddos got their faces painted, hugged the Coco Key bird, and best of all rode a real live pony. That there Candie and I thought was worth the 5 dollars we paid at the door. :)

Color coordination???

Looks like he totally hates it right?
The easiest baby ever....
Early this week Sister Wood and the girls came into town and boy did Bubba love them girls. Good ole Twinkies Stacia and Rachael. They only stayed the evening and had to head home but then Sister and Stacia came back on Thursday night to help me with my garage sale on Friday. god bless her I wouldn't have done it without her. MUAH!

Mommy/Bubba Day
Typically on Friday's I still take Dalton to daycare, because I thoroughly enjoy my time off as a parent, plus it gives me the sense of freedom for even 6 hours...hell I'll take it it, you know you would too. However, I kind of knew and planned that today would be different. Money has been tight and mind you still is but I planned that Dalton was due for a little something. First off lets go ahead and mention that neither of us had gone to bed before 11pm last night and both were awake at 6 this morning. So I got him up and went back to lounge in bed then here comes Dalton to lay a pillow on my butt (nice right) and watch TV. Until 7 when I got up to shower. I got all pretty to spend the day with my son. Seriously, I did!
We headed to First Watch for breakfast yum! He got the biggest pancake ever. He totally ate every bite and two pieces of bacon and strawberries and chocolate milk. Wow, I was aiming for cheap...not the case when feeding a boy.
After that we headed home. We had planned to go see the Clifford display at Crown Center but plans DO change sometimes. So instead of sitting in this house we drove to Starbucks and Dalton got treated again...I told him he could pick. What a great choice he made. The Strawberries and Cream frapp. (licking lips) I watched him sit there and play a game on my phone. I swear he seemed like he was 10. Time goes so fast.
We then headed to a local craft store for some "cheap" crafty thingy's. These great hats were a dollar. I love how he played the part of the pirate. He is so great!
