So as my hubby who works at 2am everyday sleeps and snores on the couch and my 3 year old who didn't get a nap today is tucked in bed sound asleep, I say Thank You Lord for my many gifts of all kinds that you have given me this year. It is 9:20pm and I am OK with saying Happy New Years everyone and better wishes for 2010! Goodnight
She said, "I love you to the moon." He said, "I love you to the sun, because it's hotter." (she laughed) Together, they are living happily ever after.

WDYTW
What do you think about on this "Kansan Snowed In" Wednesday?
Here are some things on my mind... Oh HUSH! I know you are thinking "Oh Good Lord" right? Come on now!!! I know you all too well. However since you do L.O.V.E me than you will continue to read! :) (like you are doing)
I'm thinking: Wow its almost 2010 and I can't remember what resolution I set for 2009 and did not reach? I know this...that I have made a definite resolution not to make a New Year's Resolution this coming year.
I am thinking my sister turned 30 yesterday and that means I only have 2 more years until I do but I have a feeling it wont bother me because at 28 I am right where I want to be at this point in my life. No more children are expected! Bankruptcy is done in 3.5years. Bills are all on time! Family is really close, with Mom and Dad back in town! My friends and I are even closer, because of my whiny, needy ass and high demands :) My husband and I are the best of friends!! I honestly don't really know how to explain the laughter and affection that goes on in my home with him and I. The true team that he and I have become is just plain rare!
I am thinking Dalton is THREE and he is so smart. That's not a biased MOM opinion either. He really is!
I am thinking thank goodness I have the best sister in law in the world and that awhile back she gave us her Blazer and its 4WD so in this snow, I just cruise around town and highways without any sort of panic. Thank you to the moon and back Sis. I am thinking that I wish we lived closer cause on our good days Dalton needs Ryan and I need YOU! Who knows what bud needs! :)
I am thinking that I am super blessed to have the job that I do. Working Mon-Thursday with my second family and phenomenal boss. I have no problem waking up in the morning and going to work. Come Monday I am actually really ready!
I am thinking that it is really nice having Mom and Dad back here closer to us cause come holiday time we didn't have to do a darn thing but show up and rinse some dishes! :)
I am thinking that who ever plows the parking lot here at work should be fired! How about they only cleaned the around the actual lot but its a sheet of ice from the sidewalk to the door. I am also thinking I could really use the money so why not slip and fall??? :)
I am thinking that Russell and I have a lot of options for New Years eve, however I wouldn't mind just house hopping, visiting friends, taking random pictures and than being home in time to watch a movie and snuggle up with the hubby. I know we will not make it until midnight!
OK well regardless of my completely chaotic mind rambling post! Please be safe and enjoy your HUMP DAY!

My Sissy Turns 30 Today
December 29th, 1979 at 7:19pm Ashley was born. First of us 3 children. My Mom experienced a very difficult preeclamptic delivery which back then was more serious than it is today. The Dr. actually told my Dad that my Mom OR my sister would most likely not make it. However after being delivered by c-section Ashley was in ICU for 3 days and Mom pulled through. Going on to later having two more babies, my brother and I by c-section and all pretty normal pregnancies.
So 30 years ago today God gave my Mom and Dad their first miracle. Ashley Brooke Underwood was born weighing 10lbs 1oz. (the genes behind Ashley and I's big babies)
So here's the part where my brain has to start working: 30 things about my Sissy
30. Shes blonde (no jokes needed)
29. She is what you call "high maintenance"
28. She is slender like my Mom, with thighs like my Dad
27. She inhales really hard when she laughs
26. Sometimes she even snorts
25. She and I apparently have the same nose, we have been told (I am not happy about it)
24. She has been with her husband since the summer before freshman year in high school
23. She is allergic to surgery of any kind
22. She is a Cash Nazi
21. She like her Mikes Hard Lime
20. She has perfected the evil eye :)
19. She adores my Bubba like no other
18. She can paint your toes and do the little rhinestone flowers like the Chinese can
17. She is a avid scrapbooker, they are stored for Tornado Safety!!
16. She is meticulous like my father
15. Her hair is gorgeous, but expensive
14. Her eyes are really green, behind the contacts
13. She has birthed two beautiful girls
12. She loves Starbucks just like ME, I technically started the addiction
11. She totally plays the part of the first child!
10. She now drives a RED minivan
09. She is a stay at home Mom (see #08)
08. We see the same psychiatrist :)
07 She is my every Friday visit, with coffee in hand
06. She wears her heart on her sleeve and doesn't make it known....because (see #5)
05. She is tough like my father
04. She ROCKS out on Girls Night
03. She packs her husbands lunch everyday
02. She used to lock her bedroom door when we were kids because she always had the better stuff ie:perfume, make up, clothes)
01. MOST OF ALL for 30 years she has been my VERY BEST FRIEND! Through fights, tears, and laughter our blood still runs deep. She is and always will be there. I love you Sissy and I wouldn't trade you in on our worst day, Nor would I share you on our best!
FRIDAYS FOREVER! Happy 30th Birthday!

SNOW DAY
Sissy not so much of a fan! However she made the cutest snow angel..
Jordyn was all about eating the snow versus sledding! Whatever works right?
The Bigger kid!!!
Momma and Bubba....

Daddy and his BOYS!
Tell me this doesn't look like the Snow Mafia..Dalton looks like a penguin off of the movie Happy Feet. I mean really Dalton cracks me up! Am I just biased?
Ausman got snow in his eyes after a hill jump!

Here is the point where I thought to myself "Mommy quit being a goober weenie and go with your boy sledding" Of course we started out cute! Might I add I am not a daredevil!!!
Final trip, I freaked out thinking oh good lord if I hit the ramp and break my butt I am screwed! so I totally went off the trail and slid to the side to fall off on purpose!

Day 2 of Presents
We woke up later this morning around 745am. Of course, after Dalton coughing and my head spinning had kept me up much of the night, Russ went and grabbed Austin from his Moms since it's our weekend and then came home to open his presents from us. Santa comes to his Moms house.
A guitar calendar...
This face is adorably cute....go figure his Dad said something ornery I am sure.

His over sized GREEN DAY hoodie sweatshirt jacket, it was my favorite gift anyway! He seems to like it even though he looks 9foot tall in it and kind of resembles a white rapper! LOL!

Dad got Dalton's tool table put together. He got this from his Uncle Ryan (my brother) and Christine. Now he can "FIX" everything using his own tools and not Daddy's real ones.
Just in time back from Shopping with our gift cards, my Uncle Kev calls to state he is in our driveway and if we move our cars he will plow! Yipppee, totally right on time since Russ was just getting dressed to head out and hand shovel!
Uncle Kev's rig
Biggest snow storm in like 20 years here in KC
Santa Land....
Christmas morning at the Woods started at 630am. Not much different than when we were kids. I woke at 5am always and was told by my parents not until 6!! :) The presents under our tree this year looked so small compared to when I was a kid as well. I am convinced Mom and Dad must have indebted themselves for the rest of the year when we were kids. It doesn't appear Dalton got much but knowing that Santa, Gma and Gpa, Aunts and Uncles and all other extended family were buying as well, made our "Santa's" load a little lighter! :)
Dalton got a AWESOME Red Ryder Big Wheel, with a big flag, rubber grips on the tires and chrome handlebars he looked so happy and BIG! He would grab a present from the tree then sit back on the bike to open it.
Yay! Guitar pics!
After opening presents at home we shoveled a path through the 10inches of snow that had fallen and warmed the truck up to head to my Mom and Dads for more presents, lunch and family time.

Grandma Underwood, Bubba's great grandma's doggie Maggie was a big hit with the kids.
Grandma and Pampa's House with a White Christmas! Dear Santa, I just asked for a light dusting throughout Christmas day, not 10inches the prior night. Next time I will make it more clear I suppose.

Lacey Gayle and her cuteness
Me and Ash (mind you she had surgery two days prior, quite the trooper)
Aunt TT and Sissy
Great-Grandma and the girls!
this pic is irrelevant, but I forgot to get a picture of it earlier. I made this frame for my Dad for his Bday!
Sissy and Maggie (sissy says "cog")

Nap time
Mom and Dad gave us big kids 100.00 gift cards to The Legends shopping center
Dalton's new favorite backpack from Aunt Ash and Uncle Ian
Handy Manny the motorcycle! Dalton is always Mr. Fix it!!!
Mommy and Bubba...of course he is not cooperating.
Bubba playing on his new "pooter" to stinking cute. Even Daddy approved as it kept him busy awhile as well.
Us women were entered into a drawing and my Uncle David drew my name in which meant.....that I scored Grandmas handmade blankey!!! Wahhooo highlight of my day!
My cousin Dylan and Dalton cracking up at each other......
Mom and Bubba as we set down as a family to play Mexican Train Domino's
The Crew!
We had an amazing lunch mainly prepared by my Mom...we shared presents, laughter and hugs. Ian shoveled, shoveled and shoveled some more so that people could find the stairs to Moms and Dads front door. It wasn't snowing that hard but the wind caused the snow to drift making it twice as reckless. Dalton Lee did really well having no nap and staying out from 930am to about 830pm. He crashed in the car as soon as we turned off Mom and Dads street to head home. Aunt Jill and Uncle Kevin surprised everyone with unique gifts as well. Russ and I got Starbucks cards while others received alcohol...totally right on! Bubba got a truck!! Yeah for the jolly time. Kind of sad that its all sort of over! I am sure not ready to take my tree(s) down :(
