Here Is My Grown Up Christmas List

Dear Santa,

For many years I believed in you. I believed that you really somehow fit your chunky booty in your red suit down my chimney at night to bring presents, eat cookies and drink the milk we had set out for you . The proof was always there in the morning when we found the stockings had fallen from their hooks on the mantle. Obviously because they were in your way and you had packed them so full.

I still believe in your magic and your meaning. I have tried this year to really enjoy the chaos and the spirit of the holidays and ignore the Scrooges and The Grinch. My son Dalton turned 3 this month and my heart is a little sad because he is getting so big so fast.

I have tried to tell him that you wont come this year if he isn't on his best behavior but I don't think he quite gets the magical powers behind you just yet. (wink)

Santa, I know I might be a young 28 year old Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter and Friend, but I still have some "grown up" wishes.

I wish that my husband and I have enough money to bless our boys with toys and treasures ever desired by them.

I wish that my utilities stay on to keep us warm and our Christmas tree(s) and Angel bright.

I wish that when my little boy Bubba goes to bed in his new footie pj's(that he is by the way getting used to) that sugar plums or gummy worms really dance in his head.

I wish for patient shopping customers during the last minute trips to Walmart.

I wish for Christmas carolers to show up at my door...cause that's never happened to me. :)

I wish for the good days to out weigh the bad.

I wish my Texas family were closer to share ALL holidays together.

Santa,

Most of all I wish for a "light" dusting of snow to fall on Christmas morning and continue throughout the Merry Day!

Happy Holidays Everyone.

  1. I am sure some of those wishes won't be so hard for Santa to fill your stocking. Knowing all the friends and family you have I am sure your "stocking" is packed beyond imagination!

  2. So, if you really want a christmas caroler... I will come sing, I may even bring a boombox and breakdance. Nah, I do just fine making a fool of myself to do such silly things!
