Uncle Ryan (he goes first per Bubba's request) and Aunt Sister text me early in the week and stated they wouldn't be coming in town on Sunday for Dalton's birthday. Of course after I had already told Dalton Uncle Ryan WAS coming so I of course was just gonna hope that he would forget. Ryan and Dalton bonded big time from day one, however they don't see each other often. Fortunately when were in Texas for Thanksgiving they picked up right where they left off. Its the son Ryan never had!
So yesterday Sis called and stated her and Ryan were on their way into town to see us and spend the day/evening(SURPRISE). Once we were all in the living room, Russ home from work and Austin from school. It turned into a mad game of keep away and dodge ball. I have a rug burn the size of a golf ball on my knee to prove it. I honestly cant remember the last time I had a rug burn. OUCH!
Russ's imitation of Sister's eyebrows when she gets angry and lets just say it pulls Russell's trigger every time.
Dalton was picked up early from daycare therefore not getting a nap and after all the playing with Uncle Ryan he ACTUALLY fell asleep on the couch and I mean he fell asleep hard. We all still talked and watched TV while he snoozed. This never happens.
In these pictures Dalton is "Spanking his monkey" or so his Dad(Russ) liked to put it. Of course us adults were losing it and Dalton had no idea!
Uncle Ryan and Bubba doing what they do best. Playing cars!!!
Horsing around. Ryan teaching Dalton to head bunt!
It was a great Friday. I had a little Sissy time in the early AM, headed home to pick up the house a little, visited with the family until later, showered and hit the hay! There were moments that Sis shot Dr. Pepper out her nose while laughing, a moment where I must have thought out loud, had a conversation and don't recall any of it, dodge ball, rug burns, and eyebrows. Most of all it was a good much needed visit for EVERYONE...
aww cute!! Happy Birthday big boy :)
