Bubby Update

So here it is in one simple email so I dont have to tell the story over and OVER again..

WE all know that Dalton has had mysterious rashes and random fevers for sometime now, technically it started when he was 12 weeks old.

Ok long story short we saw the Infectious Disease Doctor today at Childrens Mercy.

Heres what he said:
1. I am not crazy, this is real
2. its not a virus!
3. Its not an infection!
4. it IS auto-immune related
5. we could not do any testing today because my ped. had put him on a steriod yesterday which makes false tests. So in 10 days I go to CM South for lab work.

He also thinks that we wont be in infectious disease department long because this is going to be a rhuematology/endocrinology case.
but we will start baseline testing with them.

He is also going to test for certain things that he highly thought of when he was looking at daltons chart this morning.

Now, do your own research because I am just starting on mine. These are the top 4 things:

Angioneurotic Edema
Mast Cell Disease
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis
Sarcocdosis


I have nothing else at this point and I am worn out, we are all fine and happy, just exhausted and yearning for an answer.....which I know will take awhile to find but I finally feel like we are on a good road.

Another day gone...

I think I need a new cushion on my couch because its worn down from my booty being on it ALL DAY LONG, not sure I really moved other than to use the restroom, or get bubba, or get coffee. Come to think of it....did I brush my teeth? Come on people if you know me then you know I cant sit still or relax for longer than an hour tops, so I MUST feel awful! Other than that I watched two yes, TWO Lifetime movies. How can you ever watch just one? Back to work tomm. and then to the Dr's at some point for Bubba. Oh how I want to be back to work, the routine and people. Who can say that about their job? Well after a long dreary, sinus infected day....to sleep I go.

Christmas Gone...I added to the day

I took some randoms today as we lounged around the house. Below is a picture of my new buy at Big Lots that bubby thinks is a bed. He kept telling "Ottie" which is Austin to get him a blanket! Then Russ took a picture of me and bubby on the couch because he was actually sitting still with me watching TV. Look at his face...he is always up to something!

I feel like a mack truck has smacked me between the eyes. I might have one of the worst sinus infections along with Bubby being sick we are quite the pair. We took down the Xmas tree and all decor today because although the holiday spirit is still lingering the clutter had to go. Toys have overtaken my living room. Xanax is a must! Blinking, talking, moving, crazy things have arrived! So to Big Lots I went this morning to fing a HUGE thing to hide them away in. If I have any type of OCD its only to keep my living room and kitchen clean! I found the perfect bench thats lifts up and stores all sorts of junk! Also makes extra seating when needed. Ok well Russ and Austin have ventured out to an afternoon movie and I am going to catch some shut eye. (I never nap people) meanwhile blowing my nose 90 times and coughing. Yes I am a big whiner when sick not kidding!

Friday Dec 26th 2008 Crisis!

What an eventful Friday this turned out to be. So I wrote yesterday stating bubby didn't feel good right?! Today we went to the Dr's..... Hold on let me back up First Russ and I got up this morning and headed to walmart before the mass chaos of people arrived because we needed a new kitchen sink. We got that and then I headed to Starbucks for a much waited for get together with my long lost but never forgotten BFF Ally Enderby now Ally Swisher. It was a great time and two hours of conversation just flew by after that I had to rush back grab bubba and be at the Dr's by 11 mind you Russ is now trying to put the sink in...I take Dalton only to find out that he has pink eye and a left ear infection WHAT?! His eye is not pink, I guess it doesn't have to be. We already knew he was allergic to amoxicillian so the doc prescribed a Z-pack in liquid form of course and some eye drops and away we went. Came home and Russ is ready to gut the whole sink out caulking and all because he doesn't have the right tools to do the job and is frustrated. So I call Moe my friend Cindy's brother and he came to the rescue and finished the job in like 10minutes flat! Good to know people huh? Then my husband decides this is our last nice day outside why not go to the Legends and shop with our gift cards my parents gave us for Xmas. On the other hand I know Dalton is a pure mess.....So.....we try it and it was all unpleasant except for the Xmas tree they had displayed there. We were maybe there 30 minutes, totally not worth the drive today. Stopped off on the way home to pick up bubba's meds, came home and administered them both, eye drops and antibiotic..within 20 minutes HIVES!!!! I swear I wanted to just die! I called Candie in a panic, then had a call into my Dr. he called back and informed me of this
" your child is obviously allergic to antibiotics and in other words we are up shit creek for now" I have to get him to an allergist to find out what we can do next so at this point we are not treating the ears cause we CANT and are just treating the pink eye with the drops. So I give bubba benedryl and to bed he goes...then I attempt to relax and watch "Horton Hears a Who" with Russ and Austin but relaxing doesn't happen for me anymore. So I am blogging, Its my sanctuary.

PS: you will also see a picture below....Remember last post I told you we watched PS I Love You?! Well when I got up this morning and went to get a diaper to change Bubba, Russ had left me a special note..Too stinkin sweet. I tell ya he is so unpredictable I love it.

Well tomm can only be better right??????! Right!

Christmas 2008 Was Topped Off!!!!!

Tis the Season right?! Massive chaos and in a way I am glad it's over, the hustle and the bustle just are not for me. Yesterday was absolute chaos. From the minute we woke up. Bubba has a cold and he pretty much woke up with his sinus's coming out his eyes. I am not kidding. So we ran and did some quick shopping, picked up Austin headed to my sisters, saw Santa, then took Austin back to moms and headed to the Atcheson get together which consist of 50 plus people did I mention a sick 2 year old. We were cheery and merry then we had to just go. Bubby came home and said "night night" to bed he went only to wake up worse today. 101 fever...eye issue etc. Tomm. we will be at the Dr. So today we headed to Ashley's again to do Xmas gifts and breakfast with our immediate family then came home for Bubby to sleep and I cleaned house then we headed to my aunt Jill and uncle Kevin's house for fish, ribs, beans and slaw...my kind of Xmas meal...we had a really good visit and then FINALLY headed home. Did I forget to mention that there was 1 yes ONE Starbucks open today and I found it! All in all it was a good holiday and I am glad its only Thursday night. i feel a cold coming on my poor self and i have three more days of relaxation ahead.
PS: My Christmas was topped off with my husband and I.....he watched a whole entire movie with me and it is a major favorite of mine and he said he stayed awake "just for me"

The movie was PS: I Love You, and yes I cried 10 times or more.

FREAKING OUT!

So my weight loss journey has been hard and slow but so worth it, I mean I was trying on bras yesterday and just would come right out of the fitting room and show off, that's being secure to me! I have been at the 200lb mark since a little after thanksgiving I think and a little below at times as well. I always weigh myself in the morning because consistency is key and well everything has settled from the night before and GUESS WHAT! It read 195 on the dot...so there you have 35lbs lost so far. I'M FREAKING OUT!

After his bath or after we get jammies on we play on mommy and daddy's bed until night night time! Needless to say we wear eachother out! Gotta love him!

I am always trying to cook dinner and this nat "bubba" is always in my way! It drives me completely insane but at the same time we capture great moments like these as I wait for rice and fish to finish cooking. Look at his blue eyes. He is GORGEOUS!

Our Family Christmas

Doctor took us to Capital Grill. It was awesome and delicious! It was better than prom. We had a great time as you can see. I mean the waitress even scrapes the crumbs off the table after you eat. They refold your napkin if you get up to use the restroom. They EVEN serve hot towels at the end of the meal and the food was TOP OF THE LINE! Then we drove around and reminisced on Dr's life and looked at lights while Julisa got motion sickness in the backseat! Valerie also did our makeup and hair before the party. So much fun! At dinner......

My Big Baby is Sick

Yep, Russ is sick again. He got his annual cold and it will only get worse until he goes to the doctor for medication. He gets it every year!! Funny how I know the routine drill. So being the great wife I am....well you see in the pictures above that I take very good care of him. He has really been napping all day and I have recommended he take a hot shower....we will see. I went to the store a made an awesome batch of chili just on a whim, no recipe....my my my it is shockingly FABULOUS! I also bought the medicine isle for Russ. God I love him...I love taking care of him also. For a little bit...don't drag it out to far!! :)

PS: My random post of Bubby goes back to my sleeping baby obsession. Even though he is two its sooo awesome and peaceful to watch...hope you enjoy my babies!

Change....

Not only is the weather changing here in Kansas City from 60 degrees to a freezing 20 or below lately, but my little boy, my little man he is getting so big right before my own eyes. I really intended posting these pictures because I wanted this weather back. Yet I know in 20 years when I am reading this I will want my little buddy back. He is so smart, witty and defiant at the same time..HE IS 2! He uses his manners so well and I know I didn't instill those so thanks to Gabby and Ashley. He says excuse me, bless me, please and thank you. He also says, mommy get it, or mommy hurry up! Too cute for now!!! I just want him to hold on to that innocence for as long as he can. We don't plan on having anymore so he is my one and only baby. I have high hopes for him as any mother has for their child. He is definitely all boy and for that Daddy and I are so proud! Love you Bubby

RaNdOm ThOuGhTs

Today is and was Friday. I really haven't ever worked a 5 day week since high school. See being in the dental field makes that real easy. As a matter of fact for the past year I haven't EVER worked a Friday. It is so nice! So I spend most of my Fridays with my sissy and I thoroughly enjoy making her laugh, its the greatest. I enjoy making many laugh through out my week but my favorite is with Ashley because well she gets to laughing so hard she is gasping for air then snorting and it is even funnier when Jordyn her 2 year old starts mimicking her. Then we really lose it.
Today was a normal day for me and Ash, two rounds of Starbucks and a Target trip completes our day, then I napped, then I shopped, then I relaxed for a minute AND then I went to the Bards to wear my "full of energy on a Friday night 2 year old" out. It worked and he stayed awake until 7:45pm. I think it may be a record.
Now we come to my favorite part..
It shall be called "All About Me Time" I love being alone on a Friday for a couple of hours. Don't get me wrong I love my hubby but I enjoy some good old bedtime and watching I Love Lucy reruns..I really don't get a lot of this time in the winter as I do in the Spring, Summer and Fall when Russ is playing ball Friday nights.
Well really no other big "to dos" today I just thought I would brief you. I plan to get coffee and shop with my BFF tomorrow but plans aren't etched in stone.

Christmas With My 2nd Family

Dr. Schulz, Valerie, Julisa and I started celebrating in November by putting up the tree way early(which only Val could do because she is like 9 foot 10 inches tall), Yes people made comments but we didn't care we loved the spirit. It makes all of our faces glow especially when Doctor being a man takes a huge part in the festivities. We also decided this year that we were going to do Secret Santa. With it being such a small office we kind of figured it out or at least after we hung our stockings. Val has Julisa of course look at the design on the stocking....Julisa has me and I have been dying to peek in my stocking/bag but she has it all taped up. I have doc which means Val whose stocking sits all alone waits patiently to be filled by Santa, maybe she was bad this year!

So I found this picture and of course I am trying like hell to take a pic of it with my camera because I don't own a scanner and well this is the best I can do. I just wanted to introduce you to the era I ran with. We were the bopsy crew. Yes, all of our hair is bobbed and we have matching style of shirts just different colors. We were a tight ran crew some of us better friends than others but we had everyones number and very rarely did we go a weekend without eachother.
