Why I love the country

I love the country. I think I would have fit right in as a kid on a farm, I love wranglers and boots and hats. Heck I love me some cowboys as well.
Sad but true though, these pictures were taken today in a very suburban neighborhood in a busy city. Right here in Kansas. They didn't care that I was taken pictures. I rolled down my window in awe, even honked my horn a couple times and they just looked up(top left picture). They never ran or even acted scared. These are such neat animals. I understand that they are overpopulated and that we will soon be minority, but I just think they are beautiful creatures! As you can see as well we still have some snow on the ground...its def. winter here.
Funny part about this whole scenario is that my son Austin whom is 8, wanted to wait around and see if maybe Rudolph would come out, "ya know the one with the red nose". At first I found myself starting to correct him and then just played along.
Innocence is Sweet!

  1. I love the country too. In South Carolina there sure is a lot of that! You got some great shots! I love the snow. Now that we don't get much of, perhaps a dusting each year. I call it a tease.
