Eat Your Heart Out..Im the NEW Rachel-Stewart

Rachel Ray(psssh) Martha Stewart(hmmph). Stand back...I'm the hottest new thing to the kitchens. That's right I got skills, annnnnd a cupcake apron to go with them. I got the swerve and curve of Rachel and the magic touch of Martha. Personality disorder? Maybe! Crazy? For sure! However, I am having a blast preparing to host my first ever baby brunch for Kenley Rae Dearing! (singing) A sprinkle of fairy dust here, a dab of powdered sugar there. (sprinkle, sprinkle)

I am fully aware y'all are crackin up. Yet, you LoVe me so whatev!

Park and Pizza=Tired 3 Year Old

Dalton was kidnapped tonight by Aunt Ashley and Uncle Ian for play time at the park followed by pizza and ice cream. Now, you tell me if you think he had any fun what so ever! :)by the way..he insisted on sleeping in just his t-shirt and under-roos like his brother and daddy do, so no jammie pants tonight. He is getting to darn big.

A View From My Window

There is something about the view from my kitchen window that calms me. The neighborhood is not the prettiest by any means (except for our house of course) however, the sound of kids playing outside yelling for their moms and dads instead of me. The cars all driving busily up and down the street and I am in my happy home. The whoosh of Spring like air that blows in through the screen, or maybe it's the amazing dinner that's cooking on the stove or even the fake flowers by the sink..totally could also be the people watcher liking in me :) Whatever it is, I could lean on the counter with a cup of iced java, watch, listen and totally relax there all day. What do you think? Would you mind having a window like this?

If this doesnt make you feel refreshed, something might be wrong with you.

Ode To The Weekend of The Men in My Life

On Saturday Ryan (brother) and Christine came over. As you will see there must be something EXTRA special about Dalton's bed. My brother whom decided to hop in it on Saturday morning, must have phoned my Dad who then came over later for dinner and decided what a great place to fall as well. Regardless I captured PRICELESS pictures as they were giggling and horsing around.Pampa and Bubba
Most likely my Dad is cracking up here as Dalton is squirming to get away, notice the arch in his neck.
"I got you Pampa"
Ain't nothing wrong with a little bit of Pampa LoVe... it's moments like this that I tear up a little as I reminisce on my life as a child.
Here is an Ode to Sunday. As the draft has been aired throughout the entire weekend *sigh* Dalton must have thought why not go to the basement and drag up the entire collection of Dallas gear. Again photo ops like CRAZY
........and they go Head to Head!
I don't believe I am biased when I say...we are so in trouble. Look at those to die for blue eyes..I told Dalton, Mommy is his only girlfriend until I change up the rules and he can be my boyfriend. No kissing girls under the bleachers Son.
This picture was taken for all of our family in Texas!
Like Father-Like Son (with muscles)

I needed these pictures more than you would ever know. I just melted thinking maybe one day we will be at the ball fields. Football, Baseball, Golf, Soccer, you name it I want him to at least try them all. If he is anything like his Daddy, he will set records with everything.
Dalton, Bubba....Mommy and Daddy are your biggest FANS.

I Try to Stay Positive...but Sometimes I Just Wanna Cry

Today, I have to admit, I woke up feeling really good. Is it that Dalton sleeps in until 7am now or that I love my new house this darn much? Or maybe the fact that my brother and Christine are delivered Starbucks to me casa? :-) I never get MORNING coffee deliveries.
The windows are open and the cool breeze is rushing in throughout the house, most likely dragging in pollen but who cares right? It will be 100 degrees before long here in KC so we enjoy April showers all we can.

I managed to use up all of my energy to dig up dandelions in my gorgeous yard, eat lunch, repaint my finger and toenails only to realize that's all the energy I had for today. I don't talk aloud much about this whole ordeal but the fatigue has got to be my number one complaint. I would take the tremors over the fatigue any day. My head is pounding and my right arm is so darn weak. (superlargesigh) Seriously B12 show me what you've got already. Dalton is napping and I am going to go do my 5 minute relax exercise and get some rest as well. It is now raining and the windows are open. So I shall grab a blanket and imagine holding a hot carmel machiatto...Happy Saturday Y'all

Holy Picture Overload(New House/Son/Etc.)

Welcome to the Wood's NEW Homestead.I decided with all of the browns and neutral furniture I have in this house that my accent color's for my living room would be plum and lilac. I have no other words except...I am in LoVe with this house. Something about this house and my so called "old spirit" completes me. I have slept the best I have in years. Strange to say about a new place but it feels so warm and cozy. The presence and character is to die for.
My entry way/wall.
Another view from living room into the quaint but totally updated kitchen. LoVe the archways.
My Favorite wall so far..I'm not done yet
My 7.99 clearance curtain I bought while living in the OLD house...made itself a new home today, fresh out of the package!
Christine (brother's lady) came over last week and snapped pictures of EVERY beautiful flower in my yard, there are so many. She then brought me a CD to work yesterday with all of the images on there (156 to be exact) I immediately picked out a few and sent them to Walgreen's drugstore to be developed so that I could start on my living room accents today.
The pillows, I found at Target for again CHEAP...with purple being my NEW color of choice, it sure is really hard to find in the stores.
This cedar chest was given to me by my sister in love who had no room for it. Granted it was supposed to be at the foot of my bed, and that is where it started off. Then my great brain took over and I just needed to look at it everyday not pile laundry on top of it.
Another creation of Christine's photography
Another favorite place in my living room..it's cozy right? The candle was a garage sale freebie from my friend Amy. I bedazzled it and Ta-Da
KITCHEN---Look at my cabinet storage and counter space....LoVe It!
The door to the deck!
My stained glass window/shelf/pretty stuff shelf thingy
the sink..
The infamous gas stove that I have heard all these great things about and swore I would never like...WRONG...I again LoVe It!!! Super easy
Guest bathroom in the hallway
More Christine creations...
I plan on keeping it visually Spring at my house until there is snow on the ground...Ok onto my little slice of Heaven. My huge covered deck. *SPEECHLESS*
No, this is not a Shout commercial. This is Bubba jumping over and over and over again....he has so much romping room.
my baby boy...
jumping bean
The start of one of my many crations... a wall collage to go in the boys room.
BoYs will be BoYs
A view of our yard from the deck...
OK so that's it for now. We do have bedrooms but they aren't totally organized at this point to show anyone. If you are in the neighborhood...just stop by. Muah! PS: My Mother's Day list is growing strong. I want a bird bath, numerous wind chimes, garden accents, patio furniture etc. FYI--readers
