Yes, you are reading that title correct. It's April already..and I am 100% OK with that. Why? It's Spring, my favorite season that's why!! Flowers and Trees are blooming. Rain is crisp and cool, minus the worm smell :(. Sweatshirts are a must have in the car. Photo opportunities are endless. Little kiddos are running their little legs off to the point where Tylenol is being administered nightly :). 60-70 degree weather makes me feel as though I have angel wings on. That's right, I feel light, like I could soar.
I met my 40lb mark technically towards the end of March however, I was told by a great friend that I needed to wear smaller pants. with much frustrated shopping, like worse than trying on swimsuits ladies...I said hello to Mrs. Size 16!! It has been awhile and of course I missed you. Size 22 just wasn't nearly as flattering on me as you are. Yes friends, I did have my co-worker take a full body picture. I don't believe I have ever...ever done this intentionally until now. I am needless to say very proud and with much stride and hope I will continue on. I still have a long way to go. Thirty-40 more pounds would be ideal.
Lately, I have been sick or funky in a sense. Hopefully with all of the testing there will be an answer/treatment to this chaos going on inside of this bangin body of mine(joking)but for now I honestly fight with my energy or lack there of trying to fit in a workout or just general house work. I have not been myself and I am not happy about admitting or sharing that. I have not been "bubbly".
The other night I came home to an empty house. Having a full-time family I have to admit that there is just something great and peaceful about an empty house. As I opened the front door, straight ahead of me set these beautiful flowers and my ultimate favorite, a card. I love words. Spoken or written you can touch my heart regardless. They were from my hubby. He is amazing and he obviously thinks I am as well. He made my day!! While the boys were out I had just enough energy to vacuum the house and unload the dishwasher. :( I then opened a window and got ready for the torrential downpours, hail, and bright lightning that soon came.
An Orchid? Really? He just surprises me all the time!
Easter 2010: We woke early with both boys (Austin and Dalton). We started a new tradition this year which consisted of each boy setting out a carrot on the front porch for the Easter Bunny. What do you know that darn bunny left a half eaten carrot in each boys basket! Dalton immediately was like ewe gross! Austin's eyes were shocked! (hehe) We then got around slowly due to me developing the intestinal flu Saturday night(it was horrible). I made pasta salad and we headed out to my mom and dads for Easter Brunch and an Egg Hunt. Grandma and Pampa entertained the kids with awesome Easter baskets full of goodies. Dalton got a fishing pole and Austin got a music CD along with candy. The egg hunt had eggs filled with candy, half dollar and dollar coins.
The weather was absolutely beautiful. The breeze, the sun and all of the good food made the day perfect.
I love this simple shot I got of Jordyn and Dalton.
Finally a picture of Grandma and Pampa with their spoiled rotten grandkids
Not kidding, the boy wore his cowboy boots all day. I tried to pull his jeans over them but he insisted on wearing them like he is a farmer getting ready to go milk cows. He cracks me up!
