Do You Ever Think....

Do you ever think..WOW did I really marry my father?

Funny thing is not only did I marry a man the resembles a lot of my fathers traits but he is more like his own father everyday. Dear lord if it were up to Russ we would own multiple lawn riding tractors, rundown cars to "fix up", smokers and BBQ grills, all sorts of tools, a jeep, a dune buggy, a camper, a new camero, hell an old camero too...the list would go on and on...not kidding.
My husband gets these ideas in his head and until he is either satisfied or gets what he wants he doesn't shut up! Don't get me wrong I love him to death but this is the one thing that drives me utterly insane. I know it could always be worse but please empathize with me here...
His latest obsession is because he is so mistreated and doesn't have a garage or a basement, in which he says he needs to be able to "tinker" in. WHAT??? Tinker? Heck it took him 4+ months to hang up some shelves that I showed in a prior post. We have lived in a house with a single and a double car garage neither of which we EVER pulled a car into and we have lived in two houses with basements and neither have ever been a "Man Cave" My husband has more midlife crisis's than any other I swear :)
So onto his latest want....a shed. He wants to build a shed. He has watched YouTube video after video and was even at Lowe's yesterday. I just shut my mouth and pray that something else comes his way but then of course our landlord shows up last night to pick up rent and Russ throws him the idea and asks if it would be okay and WTH the landlord says "Sure I got a ton of wood, all the material you would need in my garage, lets gets started" SERIOUSLY.....it was like fire blew out my ears.
I know I seem frustrated right now or I appear to once again have no faith in my husband and "projects" but until he proves me wrong like he did perfecting a smoked brisket then I will still whine.
So PROJECT SHED is now in process. All at the cost of my landlord and the labor of Russ.
Lord be with me!
