Dalton Lee Wood turned 3 years old today. December turteen (13th) he will tell you! This year melted my heart and made me sort of sad. He has gotten to the point of knowing what a Birthday is, singing the birthday song, opening birthday presents alone...his eyes just gleam and that makes me sad because he is growing up and he is not a baby boy anymore. You would think that accomplishing potty training or singing his ABC's or counting in Spanish makes him seem big, but not as big as he appeared through my eyes today. Where has the last 3 years even gone? They say time flies when raising children, I now understand!
Thank you to all of my friends and family that made Dalton and I's(I birthed the child) day complete! This year was really special to me. So far I am gonna say its been MOST FAVORTITE BIRTHDAY for Bubba.
Dirt and Worms was his birthday theme. So this morning Bubba and I baked cupcakes, he of course, as you see loved the batter. What kid doesn't right?
This was my most favorite part of the entire day. That and getting my house cleaned with the help of Russell.

Dunking the finger...

Yep, kid tested Mom....
the anticipation was KILLING him...not until after nap Bubby....

Shaun is always there for the dare devil stunts Dalton craves...
His NEW jammies 1 of 3..Mommy loves them more than ALL the gifts! Dalton jumping on his bed is a major No No, but today...ehhh why not???
Still has a cupcake face from Round Two(cupcake eating) with Shaun and Dessy...Getting ready to go to bed. Dalton Lee, Mommy loves you with all her heart. I never want to give you up or ever have any lady take you away..you melt my heart, make me smile, cry and sometimes scream but you 100% complete my Mommy world as well.
Kisses X3 Bubby!!!
Hey look on another note Russ finally hung up my shelves that I purchased in the late summer from a garage sale all for 1.00 a piece.
Happy Birthday Dalton and wow what a great celebration! He is so big it's hard to believe he is 3 already! I love the "turteen" so cute!!
ReplyDeleteHoney, treasure every moment...in the blink of an eye he will be 16 like our little Meggie girl! Yikes! You and your family are all adorable! xoxo Jill
