Tonight,Dalton is EXTRA tired. He did not get a nap today because I so badly had to enjoy this awesome weather. So he used all the energy he had left at the Pumpkin Patch! We raced home and Russ had to leave for 5/6 o'colck baseball games.
Dalton at one point got to talk to Gama and Pampa on the phone he thinks he is so cool now that he can do that. :)
He then was horsin around and fell off the couch which led us to a screaming over exaggerated fit that got him his ticket to bed. :(
I know by his act of freakin out he was done.
So after about what seemed like 30 minutes (most likely 2 mins) of screaming I went back in there and did my whole rationalization talk...I calmed him down by asking him about the things he did today like the slide at the pumpkin patch, hanging out with Caleb and burning his finger on Daddy's hot grill. It always works the kid has a switch and I know a way to shut him down fast! :)
Heres the killer: As I am walking out of his room he asks if he can see his Pampa in the morning.....UGH!! Holdin back the tears I say No, that Pampa has to take a shower and go to work. He then asks about Gama...and I tell the same story.
Bottom line is Life needs to slow down...our given days off move too fast and by the time my Dad gets in town he is gone again. He has seen my Mom a little more often cause she goes to my sisters during the week, job hunting. I just need to quit being lazy and drive my butt out to thier place EVERY weekend. Dalton remembers things like you would not believe. Heck he still knows that Russ's Dad "Poppy" says "Yuuuucccckkkk" in a funny voice and he saw them last back in March! This whole grandparent thing needs to be on my priority list for the weekends.
Sorry to blog my sob story but I did because its too precious not to. Here is Bubba's memory...he actually also informed me that in the morning Austin goes to school, Mommy goes to work, Pampa goes to work and Daddy goes to play ball....LOL made me smile the most! He is so PURE sometimes!
Right now all is right in my world, my house is quiet, the boy is tucked in and hopefully dreaming. I am gonna get ready for bed myself. I am worn out 100%.
