Birthday Day/Night

Backing up a little: On Thursday Julisa brought me a cupcake and card. The cupcake had a singing candle in it. It was cute and from her heart! It was a good kick off to my actual day!

So after counting down from 10days to my actual birth DAY, the ENTIRE day of was all worth it. I would honestly expect that gift giving would stop at like age 16 or so. Not with my friends! I am so very fortunate to have friends with different qualities, I believe they each fill a tiny piece of my heart to make it whole. I have a really good group of girlfriends and some of their husbands I could confide in as well. I have to give quick props to Jason Harrington. I feared the man in the early years of Russ and I and to be honest I think its because of his strong will to say how he feels! I have found though just recently he is a teddy bear with a huge heart! He has always spoke highly of Russ and I love that....ok moving on! Sorry kind of got off track...

Ok So I woke yesterday morning, we took Dalton to daycare, then Russ and I went to Starbucks, you all know it's my favorite spot! Then we camera hunted! It was really the last thing I thought we would be doing. You all know how I love this blog and taking pictures and well..I just needed a update camera, a faster one for my quick on his feet 3 year old. We found an amazing deal at walmart. I purchased my new Sony Cybershot DSC W190. Sounds technical right? I love it! It's so easy to please me. Then my hubby gave me a card and what he writes in them is amazing. He is so good with his words. Cards are my favorite gift from him of all time!

The day went on slowly, I thought 630pm would never come. My mom and dad came over early to spend time with Bubba. People started arriving around 7pm. We started the fire pit and the good company began.

Ok so back to presents: My cousin Sarah and cousin Jessica got me a gift card to yes, my fav place...COFFEE, as well did Dalton's daycare lady Mrs. Gabby! Nichole brought me Boones Farm to drink! I am not a big guzzler but I sipped a little. They will come in handy on some random night, I am sure of it. My Mom and Dad gave money and that I will buy MUCH NEEDED work shirts with. Desiree then showed up (late he he he) with Smores stuff, a gag gift, a VERY special MUCH WANTED hand bag and a VERY creative article type thing she had written up all by herself. Her gift came from the heart! I love ya Des....your effort in our bond is so amazing. I then received a total surprise from Candie...it was MY first Ipod with already downloaded songs. She knows I am not techy like that. This too took a lot of effort, a lot of memories, there are songs I have laughed at and almost cried to and I'm on song number 39 of 149. Good grief! Where is the bridge? I love you too Candie..do or die! Dad ordered pizza and we sat by the fire! It was a good evening. I received a very emotional(on my part) visit from Cindy Viehlhaurer, a girl I have known since kindergarten. I bawled like baby when she surprised me. She has moved away so any times in these last couple years(Her hubby is in the Airforce). Cindy is that girlfriend that I share so many years, memories, laughs, tears with. I totally adore and admire our time together even though it is like 3 times a year..MAYBE! :) I love you Lu! Then......Poppa my used to be next door neighbor showed up to give a BIG birthday hug. He couldn't stay long but the hug was well worth the short visit! Jazz and Jason showed up last, darn Harrington's :) J/K they had prior plans. Jazz bought me this super stinkin cute candle holder and a neat wall plaque. Again heartfelt. What is it with all you heartfelt people. Man am I good at choosing friends or what??? Ha!
Also all of the Facebook shout outs...were amazing. Friends I wasn't aware would even remember me, said more than just "Happy Birthday". Can you tell I am huge on words or what people actually say about me or to me.
Here are some tidbits of the night for my memory...My sissy and Ian did come, trust me the pics I have of Ashley will kill her. We were cracking up! Love you Sissy and thank you for spending the evening with me and my crew Ohhhhh and for putting Dalton to bed, he didn't scream at all for her! ( big sigh)
(Sis)ter Wood, did attempt to make it up here but life gets in the way. I love you Sis and you know this. Thank you for the previous email this week and for calling me yesterday. The 37 degree weather wasn't too bad, thank goodness for the fire pit. Your brother was the pyro techy all night! Even wrote he loved me on the driveway with the black off of the fire log turner thingy! :)
Man I hope I covered it ALL. I hope no one got left out! It was overwhelming in one way. Exciting in another! Overall a great birthday...until next year! Hugs all around!

  1. I had fun too. Glad I could be part of your birthday. Sorry I couldn't get any heart felt gifts for you, money is extremely tight so $5 of Boones Farm it was! Please know that I have many heartfelt feelings for you (& your family)though! Love you, makes my heart happy that you had a great time!

  2. Wow what a big celebration!! You are so blessed to have so many amazing people in your life. I love the photos and can't believe how cold it is there! Send me some frosty air okay?! Now you have to recover from all the festivities and fun. I guess I am now the only person on earth with no Ipod :P
