Click the above link to remind yourself what I am about to talk about. Was it really in October when I first discovered this? Wow how time flies??
Well I have been doing my follow-ups with the breast surgeon and as of last Tuesday she decided to go ahead and remove the mass of tissue because it now has been giving me pain and the nodule inside of the tissue has grown larger in size. Here is kind of the outline for my day: I check in at 730am, all the prep work is done at this time since this will be a surgery performed under general anesthesia. Surgery (excisional biopsy-removal of the entire mass through a 2-4cm incision) will be done at 930am-1030am, then I go to recovery and am sent home same day about noon. Russ will be there with me. My mother was to be there as well, however she fell down the stairs in their house and now as of yesterday has a plate and several screws in her ankle-she has always been the graceful one, not :) so I phoned my sister in law and she will be coming into town to keep Russ company and play the role of the second pair of ears when the surgeon comes out to talk after surgery.
From there the tissue is sent to pathology and I have no idea as to when I will hear anything.
Sooooo with all that said I am fine for now. Wednesday I should be pretty loopy and tender for a couple days from there. I have STRICT orders to do no house work, I will be sure to follow that order until advised otherwise!!
