Dalton is a little over 2.5years old and we have begun the first stage of potty time. Ms. Gabby has been working on and off with him for awhile now so he is not afraid of the potty. He used to scream smething fierce. He has never used a potty chair just went straight to the big dog! So today we headed to Gabby's with 7 pair under-roos, extra shorts and pull-ups!
He did great all day for her, nothing out of the norm of course. For me he is a different child so believe come 4pm today I was sweating and the headache set in like something intense. Not trying to be selfish but I get in that door and want nothing but relaxation (which honestly when was the last time that took place?) For this I knew I had to be on top of my game.
Not kidding you the we weren't in the house 10 minutes and I had him on the toilet...tick tock, tick tock, nothing! So he gets up goes out to the kitchen and like 30 seconds later, splash all over my kitchen floor, the kid almost bust his head cause it was slippery! Ugh, sigh, What had I got myself into now? I tried not to yell and to remain chill because its the first day. It just killed me to know he was 100% at Ms. Gabby's. I have a candy bowl too Bubba! I told him we go in the potty not on mommy's clean floor (yeah oh so clean right?) and then he wrapped his arms around my neck and said "Sorry Mommy, Sorry" and I just melted! Man he is good!
After that ONE accident, he went like 5 times every time a splash or sprinkle in the toilet! He pulls his underwear or in this case tonight his pull-up off on his own, climbs up onto the toilet on his own and then hops down like such a big boy! Then comes the flushing...we might have a problem brewing. He loves to flush!
