(Negativity Warning)Anyone else enjoying this windchill? I have to admit that as much as I say I would want warmer weather. I love KC! I love getting to experience all 4 seasons. Regardless of how long they last each one has beauty to it. I will most likely enjoy that heat once I am thinner but right now overweight(not FAT) and Hot(temp wise) just aren't a great combination for me personally.
However, I am picky when it comes to cold. I like the heavy wet snow that falls and hit the ground to melt or maybe even just leaving a inch on the ground and the air stays still. I despise this wind that burns your fingers and freezes your toes in your rubber galoshes. ;0)
(Positive Warning)
I do happen to be having a Terrific Tuesday. Russ and I have been stationary biking (cardio) for the last two nights. (Monday morning my booty was so bruised. I whined until I was satisfied. Then I went home last night put a pillow on the bike seat and did another 6 miles, Yes I am aware that I Rock!) I bike for 20 minutes or until I hit 6 miles and then Russ is usually standing by to jump on and take over for another 20 minutes or 6 miles, mind you switching from my sitcoms to ESPN. While he does his workout I unload the dishwasher or do the dishes from dinner and try and talk to him while he works out. I love the fact that we are a team in this. He is down almost 8 pounds and I could not be more proud of him. I know he will be so happy with his results.
My Shape Up shoes by Sketcher are by far the best investment I have ever made. They do really work. If they would do something for me in my sleep I would wear them to bed. I am serious when I say they DO improve your posture and my abdominal muscles ache when I lay down at night from walking in them all day. Its not hard so its really fun.
I was so thrilled when my sister-in-love noticed my weight loss this past Sunday. It will be those moments/comments that keep me going. Sorry, I am a needy person, its me and its how I have always been. Feedback is key to my success! So is slipping on smaller pants. :)
When the weather gets nicer I would love to put a weekly team together to participate in something active whether it be a game of Frisbee Golf at SM Park, or a stroll around a neighborhood. When its really hot, a swim/dive into the pool! My goal is just to keep moving! I plan to shut off cable this summer!! We will survive with just the activities that take place in my driveway with Dalton, Austin and the neighborhood kids. Bikes, trucks, cars, and games of baseball are sure to keep our family active. So excited to just maybe wear a pair of shorts! Maybe?!!!
Alright wrapping this up. Sometimes with journeys we need a partner, a team mate, a sponsor. We need to be held accountable in all we do or we feel alone and most likely will fail. If you fall, you need a hand to pick you back up. So what if you have a bad week, it doesn't mean you can't reach out. Life is too short to be unhappy. The good will always out weigh the bad!
Good Day my friends Good Day
PS: Ally moves home from Wichita on February 17th and my heart could not be fuller.
I totally agree about the positive comments! It's amazing how good it makes you feel on the inside when someone notices all of your hard work! Sure you know you're working hard and that pants from way back when are fitting again, but strangers and even close friends may not know that until they see you in person! You're doing great! Keep on truckin'...Or biking in your case! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh good for you!! If only I had the will poer to turn off the cable... Heck maybe I'd be better! Although, hopefully my dear aunty has something planned for when we go on vacation this Summer... Hmm... Anyway, keep up the good work! And you have the right to be needy, you've got two kids and a husband, we all need needy time!
ReplyDeleteTracy, Keep it up you are starting to even show a pointy chin like Ashley and I!! Love your Mom
