An adventure it truly was. Russ, Dalton and I hit the road about 7am this morning. First stop was coffee of course and then we got comfy in the truck, put in a movie for
Bubba and headed southwest to Cottonwood Falls, KS. Home of my Sister and Brother in Loves and a very pretty
pre-teen niece. Her Uncle
Bubba (Russ) had a special delivery for her. Stacia Lee has just started playing girls fast pitch softball and the word on the street is that she will be playing shortstop. Her Uncle
Bubba's famous position. Russ brought her a custom bag and glove of
couse matching her team colors. As we sat and visited for awhile Ryan and Dalton ran out to the farm and rode around on the Big Green Tractor. It was a total photo opp that I missed out on. :( I guess Ryan let him drive the tractor and his NEW F150 truck that Sis surprised him with this past week....Our men are above and beyond spoiled. Yes, Sis and I are both very aware of this by the way.

After Ryan and Dalton got back we decided it was time to go "
toodlin" (two-d-a-
lynn) not sure but I pick up this funny country talk as soon as I hit gravel roads! I am telling ya I was born in the wrong era. ;)
Toodlin involved driving around in the pick em up truck and taking pictures of old barns, silos, and
farmage. It's a new
DIY project I am working on. Y'all just wait it's gonna be fabulous! During our adventure...we spotted a black squirrel not kidding. Proof seen below!

Dalton playing with Stacia's softball helmet! He thought it was football and I called it the perfect kids muzzle!

He and Ryan wrestled and wrestled...and wrestled! Ryan gets right on his darn level. Again Sis and I married big kids and we are aware of this to!

Oh, my first and my MOST favorite picture yet! This was taken out at Sis and Ryan's rock quarry! This tree tells a 100,000 stories

An old arched bridge. My camera
doesn't do it justice it was gorgeous

Dalton's eyes are so intriguing to me...cute thing he has started saying to me: he looks into my eyes and can see his reflection. So he says "Mom, you have Dalton in your eyes" I almost melt and want to tear up. He
definitely melts my heart with his innocence.

One of my favorite barns. Ryan knew just where to take me! We were on a mission for sure :)

An old abandoned house. Good lord I just wanted to walk right in and start snapping pictures of all the charachter these homes had back then. They tells 1,000 stories too. If I had a AMAZING camera I would have. Mud and all.

Oh....as we were out Russ decided what better time to hunt for our rock to engrave our last name into. So here are the
Okie and the Texan Rock Hunting ;0)

My Rock...
hehe!

I love the editing on this photo.

Heave....Ho

After a short but fulfilled visit we headed home and I think you will agree with me that Dalton DID NOT have an ounce of fun. ;) He slept the entire 1hr and a half home! Drool and all.
We love you Aunt Sister, Uncle Ryan, Stacia, Stix(dog), Papa Roo(dog), and Johnny Boy(cat)! Funny story: Sis put Stix up when we got there because well he is an over sized Doberman which by the way is just a super sweet lapdog unless your at eye level with him like Dalton is. So we put him up and after all that who goes and attacks Dalton instead??? Johnny Boy the darn CAT! :) LOL
Sis your pictures are great. We enjoyed the day with ya'll. I have to admit I was shocked when Russ was actually rock hunting, I never thought I would see the day he picked another flippin rock up.. lol... I had a great time. Thank you Bud so much for the bag and glove, I wish Stacia was feeling better so you would know how excited she actually is about it. (she now is getting sicker and sicker, please Lord don't let Dalton come up with it) Yes Styx is a oversized lap dog and I never thought for a second he would hurt Dalton but better safe than sorry and I really didn't want to have to put Dalton down because the dog attacked..lmao.. but seriously and I say this laughing I never thought about getting a "Beware of Cat" sign but I guess I better look into that.. and Didn't she attack him the last time ya'll were here? humm we better start remembering things like that..!!! Anyhoots.. enjoyed your visit short as it was.. LOVE ya'll and Ya'll come back now ya hear!!! LMAO
