"Happiness has different meanings for every person. Before you can learn how to be happy, you first need to define what happiness means to you and then you can seek it out."
Hey y'all (in my country/southern wanna be voice) Ever wondered how one person can be so happy all the time, or basically more happy then ever mad or sad? I do!
As my mother has titled me before I am the "back burner girl" or used to be anyway. I don't think she ever really stated it that way exactly but I got her point. I put things on the back burner until they got me in trouble or just disappeared, sometimes as many as five years had gone by and there shows up that darn thing I didn't want to deal with again, only with court documents this time (oops). I know everyone can relate to some extent! So I have talked a lot on here about my procrastination issues which is the same thing really.
"I am SO over it" as my girlfriends would say!
I now say I am gonna do something and by God you better get out of my way.
Not sure when this all became a big deal to me but I think it was one night when Russ went to bed and Dalton was totally asleep that I brainstormed. I dug deep inside my hurting heart at the time and just knew there had to be bigger things for me. So I wrote a list of things I WANT and things I NEED. I will tell you this, the WANT list is much longer *sigh* :) I don't NEED much of anything to be honest. I am thankful for these TOP FIVE things: (note: make these lists for yourself, it's amazing how they effect you)
#1 My Heart
#2 My Marriage
#3 My Family
#4 My Best Friend
#5 My Job
Because of these 5 things I have 10,000 other things to be grateful for. You know that list could go on for days and days.
OK point to my post here is this: I am not always "happy" at least not in the sense that we define it when talking to our friends. I am content. I am satisfied. I am whole hearted in everything I do and everyone I love and befriend. I was born with a giggle box, its my best trait, its contagious and that there is my greatest gift to share here on earth with you. I have met a few amazing people lately, by friends or by chance and they challenge me to be better, stronger, they find me to be valuable. That is Happiness to me!
Where/Who or What is your happy? Where does it come from? How do you obtain it? Where is it going to take you?
