What a great weekend this was. Friday I got to hang with my husband and watch a movie that he fell asleep to half way through but yet was still by my side on the couch. Saturday morning we woke up grabbed coffee and hit the road to the KC Zoo and What a blast we had...great exercise and one of the first people in line. They actually let us in 30 minutes early. Bubba was scared of the Sea Lions, he didn't like how they would swim and then sneak up out of the water and me on the other hand could have sat there ALL DAY. After a 4hr trip there we headed home. I tried again to watch a movie with my husband thinking its daylight SURELY he wont fall asleep and boy was I WRONG. They weren't even boring movies its just he requires the sleep of a newborn...NOT KIDDING! :) Sunday we went and did some errands then had a FABULOUS BBQ with my parents at my sisters house. Dad bought these steaks from a actual butcher and OMG they were great! Dad had been on the computer all weekend long looking for houses back here in KC area (the area he calls "home") for all who don't know they live in Parson's KS down by Pittsburgh.
Then Monday...oh Monday....I made the dreaded husband do chores and I cleaned from room to room. I woke at 6 and started on the kitchen..not kidding. I am a little OCD about things so i like to get started right away. Russ mowed the yard and did outdoor tinkering...like crushing cans that he thinks are going to make us rich...(a whole other story...not now). I love him....
Then we ate dinner and headed to walmart for the 3rd time this weekend to get Bubba some stuff to start at his NEW daycare tomm. since Ashley is about to pop out her 2nd baby. I am SO NERVOUS! You have no idea! I got to keep him his first 10 months and then he has been with my sister so OMG the nervousness.....I have been sick for 3 days. Well enough is enough. Some "old" friends are supposed to be stopping by but we'll see.
Oh and the title to my blog in the first place was because I am wondering where all my girls went. I miss ally and Brady and Emily and Tompkins sooooo much. I know I let things drift when I was with Jason and I understand that LIFE changes and takes us different places but I just want a reunion.....A GIRLS RETREAT! I want to laugh and dance like the OLD days!!! I love my girls and miss them tons.
You are right...things do change. Life seems to take quick turns, and before you know it things have all changed! I miss those days of hanging out with the Woods, however now that I have a "regular" husband, and our Bird...well social life has pretty much stopped. I'm okay with it for the most part....but miss those times. Let's plan a night out...just you, me and a great meal!! What do ya say???
