Chillin on a Dirt Road..

We got up Saturday morning, loaded the truck with the kids, the dog and ONE overnight bag for all of us and hit the road, destination: the middle of nowhere, better known as my sister in laws :)
Its about a 2 hour drive, so we gassed up, starbucksed up and......LIFE IS A HIGHWAY! With good music and laughter a new 75mph speed zone.....
We arrived in good time...NICE!
We lounged, we laughed, we "tootled" (back road country driving) then we BBQ'd. PS: It was incredibly way too hot for BBQ! We really just wanted watermelon, a pool and some beer :) Some friends of mine came over and surprised me and we got in a really good visit.
Everyone left, then it was family Wii time. I was just the spectator as I was exhausted and Dalton needed to go to bed as it was quickly approaching midnight. Dalton fell asleep, Ryan was right behind him but not Sister, nope she sat up with us and talked until 2am. Even as my eyes were almost non functioning I wouldn't have traded the time between us for anything.
The house slept until 8am and Dalton slept until 9!! (Gasp!)
The boys got in some great Uncle Ryan time as well and Moose ran like crazy with Poparoo. Needless to say it was a well lived and loved trip.
Oh PS: Russ was looking through a hall closet to find some part to the Wii when he accidentally found his soon to be Christmas present. LOL Its a hat from where Russ went to college and played baseball. He lit up like a kid at the circus or in a candy store or whatever! LOL and man oh man did he look good when he put it on! Whew!
